2009 Race Rules

The Rules

  • The race will start promptly at 8:00am at Blu Seafood. Team check-in opens at 6:45am and closes at 7:30am. Starting at 7:00am, the Man V Food film crew will be interviewing teams and The Bicycle Chain will be doing bike check-ups for racers. All 4 team members should bring their valid picture IDs to check-in together. Everyone must sign the waiver and be marked with the team number to start.  If a team member is under 18, they need a parent to sign the waiver at the start line. Bring the helmet and bike to be checked.
  • All teams may provide at most one support vehicle. This vehicle will be marked with the team number.  All other vehicles must remain at the starting line parking lot.  Reckless driving will result in disqualification. Support vehicles should follow the directions for support vehicles, for the safety of all racers.
  • Racers must complete the food challenge before moving on to the next physical challenge.
  • Follow all volunteer instructions.
  • The awards ceremony will be at 10:45am at the finish line.  To get everyone through the race by then, time limits will be enforced.
  • Obey all traffic laws.
  • Vomiting is strictly discouraged. By time penalties.
